Life Guards Officers Metal Badge for Ammunition Pouch - British Army

Description

This metal badge is attached to the ammunition pouch of an Officer in the Life Guards in the British Army. This badge features circular fixing nuts on the back to allow it to be attached to the pouch. 

The plate is detailed with a crown, mirrored LG motifs, fully pierced and scrolls with the words PENINSULAR and WATERLOO. The badge consists of an eight pointed star with a garter and cross the the centre of the star, The garter is fully hand sewn with the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE which has a dark blue enamelled background with a spider web design.
