This metal badge is attached to the buckle the Life Guards in the British Army. 


The plate is detailed with a crown, mirrored LG motifs, fully pierced and scrolls with the words PENINSULAR and WATERLOO. The badge consists of an eight pointed star with a garter and cross the the centre of the star, The garter is fully hand sewn with the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE which has a dark blue enamelled background..
